De Kruidenhoek ligt in het noordoosten van Rotterdam in de wijk Ommoord, deelgemeente Prins Alexander. De school is gelegen op een mooi terrein met veel groen en speelruimte.
Op dit moment bezoeken 250 leerlingen onze school.
Naast de leerlingen uit de Kruidenbuurt komen er veel kinderen uit Ommoord, de naburige wijken en Capelle a.d. IJssel. De Kruidenhoek is dus niet een typische buurtschool, maar heeft een meer regionaal karakter.
Onze school valt onder het Bestuur Openbaar Onderwijs Rotterdam (BOOR).
