Star Battle (also known as "Two Not Touch") is a challenging logic puzzle. Place two stars in every row, in every column, and in every region, but make sure that the stars do not touch! Each puzzle has only one solution, which can be reached through logical reasoning, no guessing needed!

Solving these logic puzzles can be pretty difficult, but while playing, you can always check if your solution is correct so far, and if you are stuck, you can always ask for a hint.

About the puzzle
Star Battle can be classified as an object placement puzzle, like Battleship or Trees and Tents, and as binary determination puzzle, like Hitori or Nurikabe. Users often refer to it as a interesting cross between Sudoku and Minesweeper.

Star Battle is relatively new, created by Hans Eendebak for the 2003 World Puzzle Championship. The puzzle is also known as "Two Not Touch," under which name it is published in The New York Times. All puzzles in the app are created by brennerd.
