שרפ-הלב מספקת שירותי חירום ומצוקה למאות אלפי מנויים בישראל באמצעות מרכז שירות. הרעיון של כפתור המצוקה הוא לאפשר למי שצריך עזרה מיידית לקבל עזרה בלחיצה אחת על כפתור המצוקה. לעתים קרובות מצב המצוקה כמעט ואינו מאפשר לחיצה על כפתור אחד בלבד. אפליקציית שרפ-הלב היא אפליקציית לחצן מצוקה וניתן להוריד אותה בחינם מחנות האפליקציות. האפליקציה הייחודית מאפשרת לחבר את המנוי למרכז שירות של שרפ-הלב מכל מקום בארץ (ולא רק מהבית). במקרה חירום, על ידי לחיצה על כפתור המצוקה באפליקציה, תישלח שיחה למוקד אשר יזהה את המנוי ואת כל פרטיו ובנוסף ישלח הודעה טלפונית למוקד בזמן אמת את המיקומו באמצעות טכנולוגיית GPS. בלחיצה אחת כל תהליך ההתקשרות למוקד הטלפון ושליחת המיקום מתבצע ומרכז השיחות יפעל לסייע למנוי באופן מיידי.
