تطبيق أشعار أبو القاسم
ولد أبو القاسم الشابي في يوم الأربعاء في الرابع والعشرين من فبراير عام 1909م الموافق الثالث من شهر صفر سنة 1327 هـ وذلك في مدينة توزر في تونس. قضى الشيخ محمد الشابي حياته الوظيفية في القضاء بمختلف المدن التونسية حيث تمتع الشابي بجمالها الطبيعي الخلاب، ففي سنة 1328 هـ 1910م عين قاضيا في سليانة ثم في قفصة في العام التالي ثم في قابس 1332هـ 1914م ثم في جبال تالة 1335 هـ 1917م ثم في مجاز الباب 1337 هـ 1918م ثم في رأس الجبل 1343هـ 1924م ثم انه نقل إلى بلدة زغوان 1345 هـ 1927م ومن المنتظر أن يكون الشيخ محمد نقل أسرته معه وفيها ابنه البكر أبو القاسم وهو يتنقل بين هذه البلدان، ويبدو أن الشابي الكبير قد بقي في زغوان إلى صفر من سنة 1348هـ - أو آخر تموز 1929 حينما مرض مرضه الأخير ورغب في العودة إلى توزر، ولم يعش الشيخ محمد الشابي طويلاً بعد رجوعه إلى توزر فقد توفي في الثامن من أيلول - سبتمبر 1929 الموافق للثالث من ربيع الثاني 1348 هـ.

إذا لم يكنْ من لقاءِ المنايا مناصٌ لمن حلَّ هذا الوجودْ
فأيُّ غَناءٍ لهذي الحياة وهذا الصراعِ، العنيفِ، الّشديد
وذاك الجمال الذي لا يُملُّ وتلك الأغاني،وذاكَ الّنشيد
وهذا الظلامِ، وذاك الضياءِ وتلكَ النّجومِ، وهذا الصَّعيد
لماذا نمرّ بوادِي الزمان سِراعاً، ولكنّنا لا نَعُود؟
فنشرب من كلّ نبع شراباً ومنهُ الرفيعُ، ومنه الزَّهيد؟
ومنه اللذيذُ، ومنه الكريهُ، ومنه المُشيدُ، ومنه الُمبيد
وَنَحْمِلُ عبْئاً من الذّكرياتِ وتلكَ العهودَ التي لا تَعود
ونشهدُ أشكالَ هذي الوجوهِ وفيها الشَّقيُّ، وفيها السَّعيدْ
وفيها البَديعُ، وفيها الشنيعُ، وفيها الوديعُ، وفيها العنيدْ
فيصبحُ منها الوليُّ، الحميمُ، ويصبحُ منها العدوُّ، الحقُودْ
غريبٌ لعَمْري بهذا الوجودْ

Born Abu El Kacem Chebbi on Wednesday in the twenty-fourth of February 1909, corresponding to the third month of Safar 1327 AH, in the city of Tozeur in Tunisia. Spent Sheikh Mohammed Chebbi his career in the judiciary in various cities in Tunisia, where the enjoyment Chebbi natural beauty picturesque, in the year 1328 AH 1910, he was appointed a judge in Siliana then in Gafsa in the following year and then in 1332 its 1914 plug and then in Thala Mountains 1335 e 1917, then in licensed door 1337 its 1918 and then in the top of the mountain in 1343 e 1924 and then he moved to the 1345 e 1927 town ZAGHOUAN is expected to be Sheikh Mohammed move his family with him and where his eldest son Abu al-Qasim he moved between these countries, and it seems that Chebbi large has remained in ZAGHOUAN to zero by the year 1348 AH - or another in July 1929, when his last illness disease and he wanted to return to Tozeur, did not live Sheikh Mohammed Chebbi, long after his return to Tozeur died on the eighth of September -September 1929 corresponding to the third of the second spring 1348 e.
