تأسست عام 1362هـ/1943م
ابتدأت عملها في مطلع العام الدراسي
1382-1383هـ/ 1963-1964م
فتحت أبوابها وقلوب العاملين فيها لاستقبال طلابها من دمشق وريفها ومن جميع الراغبين بالانتساب لها من جميع بلاد العالم والدراسة مجانية لجميع الطلاب وكذلك الكتب المدرسية وبقيت تخرج دعاة صادقين في درب الهداية والرشاد ليس في دمشق فقط بل في العالم العربي أجمع
وامتد رواقها ليشمل بلداناً غير عربية جاءت لتنهل من نبعها الثر ومعينها الذي لا ينضب إن شاء الله تعالى
تمت معادلة شهادتها الإعدادية الشرعية
بالاعدادية العامة بالقرار رقم (747)
7جمادى الآخر1381هـ
خ15/11/1961م الصادر عن وزير التربية والتعليم
وتمت معادلة شهادتها الثانوية الشرعية بشهادة الثانوية العامة (الفرع الادبي) بالمرسوم التشريعي رقم /36/ بتاريخ 1392/3/19هـ الموافق 1972/5/2م
درّس في هذه الثانوية كبار علماء الشام ودعاتها وكبار أساتذتها في المواد الكونية
كان عدد شعبها 6 شعب بمعدل شعبة لكل صف
وعدد طلابها مئة تقريباً
واليوم عدد شعبها 26 شعبة لصفوف المرحلتين الإعدادية والثانوية
وعدد طلابها يقارب الألف طالب
