الحمد لله الذي جعل في السماء بروجا وجعل فيها سراجا وقمرا منيرا، وهو الذي جعل الليل والنهار خلفة لمن أراد أن يذكر أو أراد شكورا، وصلى الله على من بعث بالهدى ودين الحق بشيرا ونذيرا، وعلى آله وصحبه ومن سار على نهجه واقتفى أثره وسلم تسليما كثيرا ، أما بعد:
فإن رمضان أيام معدودات، وفرص سانحات، وإن اغتنام هذه الأيام لدليل الحزم، وإن انتهاز تلك الفرص لعنوان العقل؛ ذلكم أن الوقت رأس مال الإنسان، وساعات العمر هي أنفس ما عني الإنسان بحفظه؛ فكل ساعة من ساعات عمرك قابلة لأن تضع فيها حجرا يزداد به صرح مجدك ارتفاعا، ويقطع بها قومك في السعادة باعا أو ذراعا.
فإن كنت حريصا على أن يكون لك المجد الأسمى، ولقومك السعادة العظمى، وأن تفوز بخيري الآخرة والأولى - فدع الراحة جانبا، واجعل بينك وبين اللهو حاجبا؛ فالحكيم الخبير يقدر الوقت حق قدره، ولا يتخذه وعاء لأبخس الأشياء، وأسخف الكلام، ويعلم أنه من أجل ما يصان عن الإضاعة والإهمال، ويقصره على المساعي الحميدة التي ترضي الله، وتنفع الناس.
