بزرگی به او میدهد». عُقبه به حضرت عرض کرد: «جانم به قربانت! اگر کسی امکان حضور در کربلا و حرم مطهّر آن حضرت را در روز عاشورا نداشته باشد و بخواهد از راه دور او را زیارت کند، تکلیف او چیست؟» حضرت
فرمود: «پیش از ظهر در جای بلندی بایست و پس از اشاره به سوی مرقد آن حضرت بر او سلام کن و بر ستمگران و قاتلان او لعن و نفرین کن. سپس دو رکعت نماز زیارت بخوان و هر چه میتوانی بر مصیبت امام گریه کن.
خاندانت را نیز بر این عمل ترغیب کن». آنگاه در پایان افزودند: «من ضمانت میکنم هر کسی این کار را انجام دهد، خداوند پاداش یاد شده را به او بدهد».
