شصت و هفتمین سوره قرآن کریم است که مکی است و 30 آیه دارد. نام دیگر این سوره «المنجیه» و «الواقعیة» می باشد .
از رسول خدا صلی الله علیه آله وسلم روایت شده است: هر کس در شب سوره ملک را قرائت کند اجری مانند احیای شب قدر را خواهد داشت. و ایشان خود هر شب پیش از خواب این سوره را قرائت می کردند.
ایشان در روایتی دیگر فرموده اند: دوست دارم که سوره ملک در قلب هر مؤمنی باشد
یکی از ارزش ها وبرتری های این سوره نجات دهندگی ان است . ابن عباس می گوید: مردی بر روی قبری نشست در حال که نمی دانست آنجا قبری است.و سوره ملک را قرائت نمود ناگاه صدایی بلند شنید که می گوید: این سوره
نجات دهنده است. این مطلب را به عرض پیامبر خدا صلی الله علیه و آله وسلم رساندند ایشان فرمود: این سوره نجات دهنده از عذاب قبر است.
