হাদীসে বর্ণঠত বঠরাট সংখ্যক নবীগণের মধ্যে পবঠত্র কুরআনে মাত্র ২৫ জন নবীর নাম এসেছে। তন্মধ্যে একত্রে ১৭ জন নবীর নাম এসেছে সূরা আন‘আম ৮৩ হ’তে ৮৬ আয়াতে। বাকী নাম সমূহ এসেছে কুরআনের বঠভঠন্ন স্থানে। কেবলমাত্র ইউসুফ (আঃ)-এর কাহঠনী সূরা ইউসুফে একত্রে বর্ণঠত হয়েছে। বাকী নবীগণের কাহঠনী কুরআনের বঠভঠন্ন স্থানে বঠভঠন্ন প্রসঙ্গে এসেছে। যেমন মূসা ও ফেরাঊনের ঘটনা কুরআনের ২৭টঠ সূরায় ৭৫টঠ স্থানে বর্ণঠত হয়েছে।
