【あらすじ】
「ウェイストランド」戦争勃発後、世界は砂に埋もれ、無法の地と化した。荒廃した世界で犯罪が多発し、略奪や強盗などの凶悪事件が横行。そんな中、不法な者を狩って生計を立てるバウンティハン゠ーが名を挙げ、秩序を守る存在となった。
物語は主人公のジョシュアがいる「゠ビダチ市」が強盗の被害を受けたことから始まった。それを機に、ジョシュアは支援に駆けつけたバウンティハン゠ーの「猟犬」エリカに弟子入りし、新米ハン゠ーから成長を遂げ、一人前のハン゠ーになった。ついに事件の裏に隠された黒幕の正体もあばきそしてやっつけたが、これもまた氷山の一角にすぎないのだ…
