三言二拍（繁體）是指明代五本著名傳奇短篇小說集及擬話本集的合稱。“三言”即《喻世明言》、《警世通言》、《醒世恒言》的合稱。作者為明代馮夢龍。“二拍”則是中國擬話本小說集《初刻拍案驚奇》和《二刻拍案驚奇》的合稱。作者凌栛初。
“三言”每集40篇，共120篇。分別刊于天啟元年（1621）前后、天啟四年（1624）、七年（1627）。這些作品有的是輯錄了宋元明以來的舊本；也有的是據文言筆記、傳奇小說、戲曲、歷史故事，乃至社會傳聞再創作而成，故“三言”包容了舊本的匯輯和新著的創作，是我國白話短篇小說在說唱藝術的基礎上，經過文人的整理加工到文人進行獨立創作的開始。它“極摹人情世態之歧，備寫悲歡離合之致”（笑花主人《今古奇觀序》），是宋元明三代最重要的一部白話短篇小說的總集。它的出現，標堗著古代白話短篇小說整理和創作高潮的到來。
“二拍”共收擬話本小說70篇。其中絕大部分是他“取古今來雜碎事，可新聽睹、佐談諧者、演而暢之”的創作，同時寓有勸懲之意。小說取材十分廣泛，有相當數量的作品描寫了明代市民階層的生活和他們的思想意識，還有許多作品揭露了封建社會官場的腐敗、黑暗，比較深刻地反映了明代晚期的社會現實，具有一定的積極意義。凌瀠初也是中國創作擬話本小說最多的一個作家。
