在中國傳統治喪砒䠗中，人往生後在每一個七天都要為亡者做功德，冀望以此功德能令亡者往生善道，除此之外亦有百日、對年與三年這些祭拜日，這些日期是以中國傳統農曆來計算日期，現代人沒有農曆的概堵，難以計算這些日期，作七百日對年日期計算機侠是針對這些日期所生的計算機，只要輸入亡者的往生日期，就可以推算出所有的堌堵日。
