국립재난안전연구원에서는 '시민과 함께하는 Map4Safety'를 통해 시민이 직접 안전요소, 위험요소, 기타 생활정보 등을 발굴하고 공유할 수 있는 커뮤니티 안전맵핑을 운영하고 있습니다.
안전맵핑을 통해 커뮤니티 구성원들이 공토 관심사 또는 목적을 가지고 특정 사회문제나 지역이슈, 지역사회 정보, 안전정보, 위험정보 등을 수집하고 지도정보로 자유롭게 공유ㆍ활용할 수 있습니다.
