The Holy Bible Urdu
انجیل (انگریزی: Gospel، یونانی اصل الکلمہ، بمعنی خوشخبری) مسیحیت کی مقدس کتب میں شامل ہے جو مسیحیت کے مطابق کلامِ یسوع المسیح اور اسلام کے مطابق حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام پر نازل کی گئی ہے۔
چار اناجیل ہی کو عام طور پر مسیحی بڑے فرقے مانتے ہیں، مگر اس کے علاوہ دیگر کئی اناجیل کا ثبوت بھی موجود ہے۔عہد نامہ جدید میں چار اناجیل کو شامل کیا گيا ہے جن میں سے پہلی تین کو اناجیل متوافقہ کہتے ہیں کیونکہ ان میں واقعات کے ایک ہی سلسلہ کے خلاصہ جات دیے گئے ہیں۔ چوتھی انجیل میں دوسری قسم کے واقعات کا بیان ہے۔
عہد نامہ جدید ان اناجیل سے شروع ہوتا ہے جن میں مسیح کی پیدائش، رسالت، تبلیغ، معجزات، رومیوں کے ہاتھوں قتل اور تین دن بعد دوبارہ زندہ ہونے کی کہانی ہے اور یسوع المسیح کی اس قربانی سے انسان کی بقا اور بہبود کی خوشخبری ہے۔
