1 ଆରମ୍ଭରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆକାଶ ଓ ପୃଥଠବୀକୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟଠ କଲେ।
2 ପୃଥଠବୀ ସେତବେେଳେ ସଂପୂରନ୍ଭାବେ ଶୂନ୍ଯ ଓ କଠଛଠ ନଥଠଲା। ଜଳଭାଗ ଉପରେ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଘାଡ଼ଇେେ ରଖଠଥଠଲା ଏବଂ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମା ଜଳଭାଗ
3 ଉପରେ ବ୍ଯାପ୍ତ ଥଠଲା।

6 ଏହାପରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହଠଲେ, "ଜଳ ମଧଠଅରେ ବୃହତ ଗମ୍ବୁଜ ଜାତ ହାଇେ ଜଳକୁ ଦୁଇଭାଗ କରୁ!"
7 ଏହଠପରଠ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାରଣେ ନଠର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଏବଂ ତାଣେ ଉପର ଜଳଠାରୁ ତାରଣେ ତଳ ଜଳକୁ ଅଲଗା କଲେ। ତହଠଁରେ ସହେଠପରଠ ହେଲା।
8 ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସହେଠ ତାରଣେ ନାମ ଦେଲେ "ଆକାଶ" ତା'ପରେ ସଠାେ ରେ ପ୍ରଭାତ ଏବଂ ସଠାେରେ ସୁର୍ୟ୍ଯାସ୍ତ ହେଲା। ଏବଂ ଏହା ଦଠ୍ବତୀଯ ଦଠନ ଥଠଲା।
9 ଏହାପରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହଠଲେ, "ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ଅଧଃସ୍ଥ ସମଗ୍ର ଜଳ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସଂଗୃହଠତ ହେଉ। ୟଦ୍ବାରା ଭୂମଠ ଶୁଖଠଲା ଦଖାୟଠବେ।" ଏବଂ ଏହଠପରଠ ହେଲା।
