También se lo conoce como Alicia a través del Espejo, y es, por supuesto, una especie de continuación del inmortal Alicia en el país de las maravillas.
Alicia a través del espejo es una novela corta (nouvelle), que suele encasillarse como libro para niños, pero no... O sí, también. Pero sin dudas es un libro para lectores "despiertos". En esta nueva aventura, la pequeña Alicia logrará introducirse por un espejo hacia un mundo onírico, un mundo del revés (así son los espejos), a un mundo de fantasía, de lógica, de retórica, de matemáticas y paradojas. Como si todos esos caminos fueran pocos, Lewis Carroll nos propone un pequeño ejercicio de ajedrez: al entrar por el espejo Alicia se encuentra convertida en un peón que aspira a coronarse Reina. Flores que hablan, dos hermanos que se baten a duelo por un sonajero, una Reina que recuerda el futuro, un jinete que vive cayéndose del caballo y que inventa cosas de dudosa utilidad..., son algunos de los extraños y entrañables personajes que Alicia irá encontrando en su camino.
