The Augur app works like a Magic 8-ball for the Internet, using Twitter to tell the future.
Part oracle, part drunk advice columnist, the app searches for random keywords on Twitter in real-time. From there, it pulls back tweets that match a set criteria, and presents the user with a mixture of advice and prophecy.
In Roman times, an augur was someone who divined the future by studying the flight path of birds. The Augur app is a modern day version of the ancient soothsayer, looking to Tweets instead of birds.
Augur is your way to tap into the collective advice and counsel of millions of Twitter users (and probably only a very small number of those people are actually psychopaths). What could possibly go wrong?
