QUE ES LA BACHATA?
La bachata es un género musical bailable originario de la República Dominicana, dentro de lo que se denomina folclore urbano.
Está considerado como un derivado del bolero rítmico, influenciado por otros estilos como el son cubano y el merengue.
Este género puso al mundo entero a bailar en 2002 con la canción Obsesión del grupo Aventura.
La bachata en nuestros días está marcada por el surgimiento de formas digitalizadas de música y la introducción de otros aires e instrumentos como: congas, saxofones y timbales, además de fusiones
con otros géneros musicales.
En las letras se siente una influencia de la etapa rosa, en contraste con el doble sentido erótico-sexual de la bachata anterior a los años ochenta. No obstante, se mantiene el sentido que le había
dado origen como las expresiones de amor-desamor, la nostalgia y la propuesta de estilos de vida donde la mujer es fuente originaria del amor y del deseo.

WHAT IS THE BACHATA?
The bachata is a musical genre native of the Dominican Republic, in what is called urban folklore.
It is considered a derivative of rhythmic bolero, influenced by other styles like the Cuban son and merengue.
This genre got the whole world to dance in 2002 with the song of Aventura Obsession.
Bachata today is marked by the emergence of digital forms of music and the introduction of air and other instruments such as congas, saxophones and drums, plus mergers with other musical
genres.
