We at NFN Labs eat out at restaurants a lot, almost everyday. We had been seeing a lot of people on our Facebook/Twitter feeds talking about how GST affects the bill amount.
In the updated version of the app - there are 2 things that you can input or edit:
1. The bill amount
2. The service charge (if applicable)
Service charge is a percentage added to the bill amount which ranges anywhere from 2% to 15% based on the type/class of the restaurant you decide to eat in.
Based on whether you are eating in a NON-AC or AC restaurant, both scenarios of GST applied are shown to you along with the Service charge added to the total bill amount.
