Does your battery need recharging often because your screen is constantly on?
Have you noticed that your screen has "burned" areas near the top and bottom?
Do you feel limited by the System Screen Timeout options on your device?
Do you hate having to repeatedly deal with the System Lockscreen after your screen has "timed out"?
Well this application is for you! Prevent further* AMOLED "Screen burn" and save battery life with Black Screen Saver 2.
To use, simply tap on the application icon and the black screen will appear. If you want to access the new options hold your finger down on the black screen and the options page will appear. Two new options have been added to Black Screen Saver 2 for your convenience.
1. Time Set:
Timer starts when device is laying on its back
(face up) & remains untouched for the time set.
Dismiss by tapping upper half of black screen.
"Snooze" by tapping lower half of black screen.
2. System Set**:
Temporarily change device's built-in System Screen Timeout to any value between 1 and 59 minutes.
After choosing your minute(s) value (1 - 59 minutes) choose either the Time Set or the System Set. The options page will disappear, leaving the original black screen active. A simple tap on the black screen will dismiss it and you're all set.
If you have chosen the Time Set option you are free to use your device like normal. If you set your device down on its back (face up) the timer will begin to count down. After the set amount of time has elapsed another black screen will pop up. Tap the upper half of the black screen to DISMISS the recurring feature or tap the lower half of the black screen to SNOOZE and reset the timer. If you accidentally tap the BACK button while the recurring black screen is active a notification will appear with the same options above.
* Can't fix prior AMOLED screen burn damage, but, if used on a regular basis, Black Screen Saver 2 can prevent further damage.
** System Set may not work on all devices. Successfully tested on various Samsung devices without problems.
