The book of Acts or the Acts of the Apostles is about the history of the first church after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the book of Acts, you can see how the powerful works of Christ continued to the Apostles such as Peter healed the lame man at the temple (Acts 3:7-11); Ananias and Sapphira were slain when they lied to the Holy Spirit (5:5-10); the prison doors opened by an angel (5:19); and many more signs and wonders done by the Apostles.
“And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles” (Acts 2:43)
Also recorded in the book of Acts is the famous story of Saul’s conversion into Paul. Once a persecutor and murderer of Christians, Saul (now Paul) witnessed the grace, mercy, and love of God through Jesus Christ which radically changed his life forever. And Apostle Paul’s teachings and preaching, thus began after his encounter with resurrected Christ in a vision.
This is also the mark of the beginning of grace period when salvation has been extended to the Gentiles. And the Apostle Paul was used greatly and powerfully by God in this mission.
The book of Acts ended with the Apostle Paul preaching in Rome and spreading the Good News of Christ in the country for two years. And in that span of year, no one tried to stop him from preaching the message about Christ (Acts 28:31).
