O inhambu (Crypturellus obsoletus) é um tinamídeo florestal que habita a floresta atlântica no Brasil, em praticamente todos os níveis de altitude, sendo sua presença mais marcante acima dos 400 m. Na América do Sul ocorrem algumas subespécies. Ocorre nos estados brasileiros da Bahia (extremo sul) ao Rio Grande do Sul.

Como a maioria dos tinamiformes, é mais ouvido do que visto, sendo assim, aves difíceis de serem fotografadas. É um dos tinamiformes mais comuns do Brasil, após a codorna-amarela (Nothura maculosa).

The inhambu (Crypturellus obsoletus) is a forest tinamídeo that inhabits the Atlantic Forest in Brazil, virtually all altitude levels, with its most significant presence above 400 m. In América do Sul, some subspecies occur. Occurs in the Brazilian states of Bahia (far south) to Rio Grande do Sul.
