Artinya, Pandangan hati kepada Alloh wajibul wujud yang Maha sempurna lagi tiada cela, Dipandang dengan Nurulloh, cahaya pemberian Allah yang diletakkan dalam mata hati, sehingga hati menjadi waspada dan penuh kesadaran bahwa apapun perbuatan yang dilakukan merupakan perbuatan Allah dan tiada lain merupakan qudrat, irodat serta IlmuNya yang maha sempurna, itulah yang dinamakan pandangan orang ahli makrifat.
Jadi yang dimaksud dengan ilmu makrifat menurut Syaikh Ahmad Rifa’i adalah selalu melihat fenomena yang terjadi dialam raya ini serta apa yang terjadi pada dirinya merupakan wujud dari qudrat, irodat dan ilmu dari Allah swt. Dengan demikian yang dimaksud dengan orang yang arifun billah adalah orang yang senantiasa melihat Allah melalui bukti-bukti akan kekuasaan Allah yang tergambar dengan sangat jelas dari lubuk hatinya.
