In addition you get detailed information for the two cars selected for the fields of fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and performance. The CarCostsApp has access to the same database comprising 10,000 or so models as Bosch’s tried-and-proven Fuel Pilot online vehicle comparison service (www.fuel-pilot.de). How does the app work?
Via the selection menu you can simply choose a car that meets your requirements. The application uses these parameters to suggest a suitable comparison model from the database. You can, of course, select a different car instead of the suggested model if this vehicle is a better match for your interests. You can adapt the pre-set parameters to your wishes and then have the results of the comparison displayed. The Bosch CarCostsApp is a total-costs calculator which includes maintenance, tax and insurance. The calculations include not only fuel consumption but also the annual CO2 emissions. So you can compare, for instance, the gasoline and diesel model of your dream car with each other. The CarCostsApp determines the cost trend on the basis of the individual calculation parameters input by the user such as personal annual mileage, service life as well as fuel price, determining the break-even point from which a particular model represents good value for you. Via the menu it is also simple to start up a new comparison in oder to check how amended parameters (such as fuel costs) affect the result.
