Yan Gymnastiar atau lebih dikenal sebagai Abdullah Gymnastiar atau Aa Gym adalah seorang pendakwah, penyanyi, penulis buku, pengusaha dan pendiri Pondok Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid di Jalan Gegerkalong Girang, Bandung. Aa Gym menjadi populer karena mengenalkan cara berdakwah yang unik dengan gaya teatrikal dengan pesan-pesan dakwah Islami yang praktis dan umum diterapkan pada kehidupan sehari-hari.

Aa Gym digemari oleh ibu-ibu rumah tangga karena ia membangun citra sebagai sosok pemuka agama yang berbeda dengan ulama lainnya. Ketika para ulama konvensional berdakwah tentang keutamaan salat, puasa, dan kemegahan surga, Aa Gym memilih untuk bercerita tentang pentingnya hati yang tulus, keluarga yang sakinah dengan menggunakan bahasa sehari-hari yang ringan dan menyenangkan.

Yan Gymnastiar or better known as Abdullah Gymnastiar or Aa Gym was a preacher, singer, author, entrepreneur and founder of Pondok Pesantren Daarut Gegerkalong Tauhiid in Jalan Girang Bandung. Aa Gym is becoming popular because it introduces a unique way of preaching theatrically with Islamic propaganda messages that are practical and commonly applied to everyday life.
Messages preaching revolves around the self-control, conscience, tolerance and firmness of faith. Aa Gym favored by mothers of the household because he built an image as a religious figure that is different from other scholars. When the conventional scholars to preach the virtues of prayer, fasting, and the splendor of heaven, Aa Gym choose to tell you about the importance of a sincere heart, family sakinah using everyday language that is mild and pleasant.
