O pássaro Corrupião, cujo nome científico é Icterus jamacaii,
também é conhecido vulgarmente pelos nomes de joão pinto, sofrê, concriz, currupião e rouxinol.
Esta espécie de pássaro é encontrada nos estados do Sudeste, Centro-Oeste e Nordeste, em Goiás,
Tocantis e no leste do Pará. Seu habitat é na caatinga e zonas descampadas secas,
sendo um dos pássaros mais apreciados do Brasil,
sendo especialmente criado devido a sua grande beleza e lindo canto.

O Corrupião é uma ave de porte médio, que atinge até 23cm de tamanho,
