Cross Mate is a buddy app for pedestrians to use while crossing the road at pedestrian crossings to indicate to vehicles at a distance that they need to slow down and stop.
This application is designed to alert vehicles from a distance, that a pedestrian is trying to cross the road.
Our belief is that vehicle drivers have the intent of caring for pedestrians, but there are many times when it is too late before they actually notice the pedestrian.
This app has a simple blinking red screen that is visible from a distance of over 50 meters even on a 5 inch phone screen, during the night and even during the day.
As a pedestrian, you could turn the app on and hold it in the direction of the on-coming vehicles while you cross. This helps the vehicle driver get alerted well in time and they can slow down and
stop in time.
