Der Diceware Passwort-Generator generiert für Sie starke und dennoch leicht zu merkende Passwörter.
Unter der Haube arbeitet diese App mit dem sogenannten Diceware-Algorithmus.
Beispiel:
1. Mit einem normalen Würfel wird 5 mal gewürfelt. Die Ziffern lauten: 6, 2, 5, 6, 4
2. Das dazugehörige Wort muss nun in der entsprechenden Wortliste nachgeschlagen werden. In diesem Fall enspricht 62565 dem Wort umkehr.
3. Schritte 1. und 2. werden so oft wiederholt, bis man die gewünschte Anzahl an Wörtern erreicht hat. Je mehr Wörter, desto sicherer ist das Passwort. Bei noch viermaligem Wiederholen könnten sich folgende Paare bilden:
12345: acht
33546: jedes
53621: salve
46635: portal
4. Das Passwort bzw. die Passphrase lautet also: "umkehr acht jedes salve portal". Um sich dies besser merken zu können, können die Wörter in eine kleine Geschichte eingebunden werden.
