If you were searching for dinosaur puzzles for kids or dinosaur puzzles for toddlers, DinoVille will over-deliver. It is more than just puzzles. There are dinosaur cartoons with sounds, a game for sharpening memory, a throw game, listings of dinosaur videos and pictures, a blog about dinosaur toys and links to two other free game apps. So in addition to being full of fun games, it is a great educational tool about dinosaurs. It can also be used by adults - anyone who loves these fascinating prehistoric reptiles.
The games are made of cartoon images so are appropriate for all ages. We gave this app a Medium Maturity rating, as a precaution, due to being unable to control the content of the blog and pictures being included.
There are 5 tabs to DinoVille: Dinosaur Puzzle Games that let you navigate across its features.
Tab 1:
This is the Sounds tab - a menu that takes you to three different dinosaur animations that once tapped will emit a sound. There is T-Rex, Brontosaurus and Triceratops. When the animation is clicked,
a sound corresponding to that dinosaur will be heard.
Tab 2:
This is the Games tab which leads to a game for sharpening memory and a throw game.
The memory sharpening game has 24 game cards which appear in one or more pairs. Take a good look at the game cards and try to remember as many pairs as you can. When you click START the game cards will flip. The only way to turn them right-side-up is by tapping matching pairs. You can always discover matching pairs at random but it's much faster when you remember them.
The throw game is ideal for commutes or periods in the waiting room and is potentially addictive. In order to play it, your device needs to be in landscape mode, otherwise it won't run. You have 5 acorns and there are 3 enemy dinosaurs. Luckily, they are not mobile. Your task is to load the catapult with the acorns and aim them at the dinosaurs. Needless to say, you need to get all 3 dinosaurs with the 5 acorns.
Tab 3:
Here, you can find two astounding dinosaur jigsaw puzzles. Puzzle 1 has just one level where the original icon splits into a 4X4 tiles. Puzzle 2 has 3 levels, Easy breezy, Hmmmm and Oh Oh! Difficulty
is in proportion to the number of tiles that the original image splits to. Whichever puzzle you choose, when you click RANDOMIZE, the tiles will shuffle into a random pattern. You need to use two
fingers to move the tiles around and restore back into the original image. You do not have to race against time when doing these dinosaur puzzle games.
Tab 4:
This is the educational tab, labeled Multi for multimedia. From here you can watch the latest Youtube videos on dinosaurs, read a blog on dinosaur modelling or view dinosaur pictures from Flickr.

This is the extras tab. It allows you to download two free game apps into your device. The one app is Megalodon. We figured that if you like dinosaurs, which are prehistoric reptiles, you will likely
like Megalodon, a prehistoric shark. The other app is Race Match. It is a puzzle themed around race cars and it is more suitable for toddlers.
