About Dussehra:
Vijayadashami is an auspicious day of beginning formal education. During Navratri, Maa Durga is decorated in her different aspects. The day is celebrated to commemorate the killing of Ravana by Lord Rama.
During these 10 days many plays & dramas based on the epic of Ramayana are performed. These are called Ramlila. In Bengal, Dasara is celebrated as Durga Puja.
