Aplikasi E-SLI BMKG diadposi dari Konsep SLI Konvensional yang telah terbiasa dilakukan oleh Kedeputian Klimatologi bagi di pusat maupun di daerah. Dengan aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menjangkau pengguna dengan lebih banyak, lebih beragam dan tidak terbatas pada segmen masyarakat tertentu.
