Unfortunately taxi fare in Egypt tends to vary due to most taxi drivers tamper with their taxi fare meter. This is especially true after the latest increase in fuel prices in Egypt in July 2014. Although there is a new fare announced that takes into account the increase in fuel prices in Egypt, most taxi drivers privately adjust their taxi meters at their own discretion and tends to overestimate their fares.
This app will tell you how much your trip should cost and why based on the latest announced official taxi fare in July 2014..It is very easy to use.. it shows you with pictures how to enter the needed information about your trip from the taxi meter (kilometers traveled etc.).. then it will show you the fare you should pay as well as a detailed description about how the app came up with this value in case you need to prove to someone that your calculation is correct unlike his taxi meter ;)
