Each Gamebook is an interactive eBook complete with audio narration and quizzes to test reading comprehension. Some books even allow users to unlock games and puzzles as they read the book. Badges are earned for completing activities, reading the entire book, and doing quizzes; while accumulating points to climb up various leaderboards.
The Gamebooks Library is designed to:
• Increase engagement in reading through activities and an achievement ladder.
• Use repetition so child will be tasked to repeat until they get “three stars”, encouraging them to read and listen to the text again, and retake quizzes and challenges.
• Monitor learning progress by collecting data on every action taken and measured in terms of amount of reading or text engagement done and improvement in reading comprehension.
• Test a learner’s reading comprehension with explicit testing via quizzes.
An included console for parents and teachers provides detailed reports on usage and learning progress for each learner. Parents can add multiple children to their console and teachers can track statistics for individual students or the whole classroom. The console measures the number of books read, badges earned, session times, words encountered, activities completed, and Lexile scores.
