Die App will den Fußverkehr stärken. Sie erfasst Gutes und Schlechtes fürs alltägliche Gehen: zu schmale Wege, gefährliche Kreuzungen, idyllische grüne Pfade und vieles mehr. Die Bedienung ist einfach: Position checken - Foto machen - mit zwei Klicks das Thema für Kritik oder Lob festhalten - abschicken.
Die App taugt für privaten Gebrauch wie für professionelle Fußverkehrs-Checks. Alles Erfasste erscheint auf einer öffentlichen Web-Karte, kann gefiltert und exportiert werden. Für jede Stadt, für jedes Dorf, aber auch für einzelne Straßen und Quartiere können so die Geh-Qualitäten sichtbar und analysiert werden.
Die App ist kein Mängelmelder für plötzliche Schlaglöcher oder ausgefallene Ampeln. Sondern sie ist ein verkehrspolitisches Instrument: Alle sollen mit ihr überall festhalten können, was ihnen beim Gehen gut oder schlecht gefällt. So wird sichtbar, wo Städte und Gemeinden aktiv werden müssen - aber auch, welche Stärken sie pflegen und ausbauen können.
Die Entwicklung der App ist vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert. Sie wird betrieben vom FUSS e.V. Fachverband Fußverkehr Deutschland.
