With GeoAlerts you can configure simple personal, friend and group reminders that trigger when entering or exiting a geographical area defined by you or your friends.
Features:
- Supports personal, friend and group alerts, allowing for a large number of use cases.
- Advanced area editor that allows to create circle-, stripe- and polygon-shaped areas of interest.
- Uses a patent-pending algorithm combined with Android geofences to reduce the battery consumption
by location updates and server requests.
- Location information is processed and stored only on our servers. It is never shared with your friends or
any other users. This way we protect our users' privacy.

- Alert your family when you leave or arrive your school/work.
- Send a message to your friends when they pass close to a bar or restaurant you want to recommend them.
- Remind your husband to buy groceries when he passes in front of the local supermarket.
- Wake you up when your train arrives at your station.
Permission:
- "Your location": This permission is required in order to obtain location information needed to process
and activate the reminders.
- "Network communication": This permission is required to transmit location information to our servers
and to receive alert notifications via push messaging.
- "Your personal information": This permission is used to facilitate the search of contacts by name and
email address inside the application. The contact information is never transmitted to our servers.
- "Your accounts": This permission is to allow users to register in our servers using Facbook, Twitter,
Gmail or G+ credentials.
- "Storage": This permission is used to cache the friends avatar photos into the device external storage.
- "System tools": This permission is used by the android push notification sub-system to receive
notifications even if the application is not running.
