Description [menu]

Beautiful brides from many Asian countries and Middle Eastern countries as well as some African countries love the sport of tattoo henna in their hands during their marriage. Tattoos Henna is not like a permanent tattoo that you can get in a tattoo parlor. Henna is a natural dye that stains the skin for a while and helps a complicated sport design in their hands. You will find the internet is full of henna designs and information related to henna color treatments. However, there are very few sites that offer science-related information behind henna blemishes. In this article, we will discuss how henna works and stains our skin. So, without much delay, let's look at our facts.

What is Henna?
Lawsonia inermis or mignonette tree is a different name for the same flowering plant called henna. The name 'henna' comes from the Arabic name 'hinna'. The leaves of this plant are used to dye the skin, nails, hair and even skin or wool since the Bronze Age. This form of tattoo art is used extensively during festivals and celebrations, especially at weddings. Henna leaves when pounded does not stain the skin. They will tarnish only after the release of legal molecules that exist in the leaves, after crushing them with a slightly acidic liquid like tea. Thus, the henna leaves are dried and ground into powder to make the paste from the toothpaste concentrate. This paste is applied to the skin or hair for coloring. These dyes are completely natural and have no side effects. Side effects if present occur only when natural henna is mixed with adulterants such as carmine, pyrogallol, orange dye, chromium, silver nitrate, etc., which helps change the effects of henna staining on the skin.

How does Henna Work?
After the application of henna, the dye leaves a burgundy stain on the skin. The color of the stain depends on the individual skin type and the amount of time that henna is allowed to remain on the skin. The color on the skin is due to lawone molecules present in the leaves. These legal molecules are more concentrated in the petiole. As mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the legal molecule is only released when the leaves are destroyed with a slightly acidic liquid. Thus, many people trade henna in the form of powder made by drying, grinding and shifting the leaves. When a person needs to apply henna tattoos, the powder is mixed with lemon juice, tea or similar acidic liquids. A thick paste is formed and used to apply complex and detailed body designs. A few drops of essential oils such as eucalyptus, Cajeput, lavender or tea tree are added to the henna paste. This oil contains monoterpene alcohol which helps improve the staining characteristics.

Our skin consists of a number of layers of cells. The outer layer of the skin is called the stratum corneum. This helps keep dirt and other infectious substances away from the skin's undercoat. This layer of skin is thick on certain body parts such as the palms of the hands and soles of the feet (especially the heels) and may be thinner in other parts such as the skin of the ear. Stratum corneum consists of keratin which also makes the nails and hair. When henna is applied to your skin or hair, the legalone molecule is small enough to penetrate the skin cells. It enters the skin cell column and does not swell or spread like a drop of ink onto a tissue paper. Thus, the stain remains sharp and clear, until a complete upper layer skin exfoliation. The darkest dye of Henna on cells that are in close contact with the dye and the skin cells furthest from the dye has a lighter color.
