This applications allows for logging of RSSI (Relative Signal Strength Indication) for iBeacons.
RSSI is a value for the Bluetooth Low Energy signal strength at a certain distance.
Analyzing the signal strength of your iBeacons can be useful to determine suitable placement or to calibrate your application.
Log files are saved locally, usually in /sdcard/iBeaconLogger2
The location of the log files may depend on your device and configuration, the absolute path of the log files is always shown when logging is started.
This application is in a very early stage and provides only minimal functionality, if you have any suggestions or want to know more about the technique, send me an email or write something in the comment section!
Important note: All iBeacons must have a UUID of B9407F30F5F8466EAFF925556B57FE6D (hex) to be detectable by this application.
How to install iBeacon Logger APK for Android [menu]
Download iBeacon Logger APK file (com.imdev.beaconlogger_4_299206.apk) from SameAPK.com, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.imdev.beaconlogger_4_299206.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

- Download And Install one Emulator Softwares (Ex: Bluestacks, GenyMotion, NoxPlayer)
