Il ballo del qua qua è il titolo italiano di una canzone di grande notorietà internazionale intitolata Der Ententanz ("Il ballo dell'anatra"), composta dallo svizzero Werner Thomas. La versione italiana, riarrangiata da T. Rendall e Lorenzo Raggi e cantata da Romina Power, venne pubblicata nel 1981 e compare nell'album di Al Bano & Romina Power Felicità, pubblicato in Italia nel 1982.

La musica originale è stata composta negli anni cinquanta dal musicista svizzero Werner Thomas. È stata adattata con parole diverse in molteplici nazioni ed usata nel corso degli anni come colonna
sonora in vari film e serie televisive, come ad esempio Il trafficone, L'affittacamere Biancaneve & Co. o The Big Bang Theory, nonché come sigla del programma televisivo Paperissima, in onda su
Canale 5 dal 1990. Il titolo comunemente usato in inglese è The Chicken Dance ("Il ballo del pollo"); la versione italiana è composta, appunto, da Lorenzo Raggi, ed è l'unica, insieme a quella
francese, a usare degli starnazzi divertenti all'inizio e alla fine, e perciò l'unica a parlare di un'anatra.

Il ballo del qua qua è una canzone pensata principalmente per i bambini ed anche un inno alla felicità (prendi sotto braccio la felicità), viene classificata come canzone per bambini vista
l'orecchiabilità e il testo apparentemente insignificante, che ha fatto divertire i bambini, ma in realtà, come rivelato da Al Bano in una lettera di protesta all'allora -2012- assessore regionale
della Puglia Fabiano Amati, il quale aveva risposto ad una lettera aperta di Romina Power scritta a causa del timore riguardo al possibile e molto probabile inquinamento che il progetto di uno
scarico a mare porterebbe nella zona di Specchiarica (zona marina ionica appartenente alla frazione di San Pietro in Bevagna, facente parte del comune di Manduria) dicendo "La storia della
depurazione non è assimilabile al Ballo del Qua Qua, è un po' più complicata", è dedicata ai politici degli anni ottanta che si ponevano delle idee e non concludevano più niente ("questo è il ballo
del qua qua | e di un papero che sa | fare solo qua qua qua | più qua qua qua")[1] [2].
Lanciata da Romina Power nel corso della trasmissione Fantastico 2, la canzone è rimasta senz'altro la più conosciuta nella carriera della Power da solista, al di fuori del duo formato con il marito Albano Carrisi. Tra i coristi ci sono stati Silvia Annichiarico, Paola Orlandi, Lalla ed Eloisa Francia, Mario Balducci, lo stesso Albano, Moreno Ferrara e Silvio Pozzoli (che cantano la quarta strofa insieme alla Power).

Il ballo del qua qua si dimostrò essere un grande successo commerciale, riuscendo ad arrivare alla prima posizione della classifica dei 45 giri più venduti in Italia il 24 aprile 1982[3], e rimanendo
stabilmente in top 10 per sei mesi, dal gennaio al giugno del 1982. Alla fine dell'anno il singolo risultò essere il sesto più venduto dell'anno.[4]

The original music was composed in the fifties by the Swiss Werner Thomas musician. It was adapted in different words in multiple countries and used over the years as a soundtrack in various films
and television series, such as The trafficone, The landlord Snow White & Co. or The Big Bang Theory, as well as the theme song of the television show Paperissima, broadcast on Channel 5 since
1990. the commonly used title in English is the chicken Dance ( "the chicken Dance"); The Italian version is composed, in fact, by Lorenzo Raggi, and the only one, along with the French, to use the
fun Starnazzi beginning and end, and therefore the only one to speak of a duck.

The dance of quacks is a song intended primarily for children and also a hymn to happiness (take the arm happiness), is classified as a song for children catchiness and seemingly insignificant text,
which made the kids entertained, but in reality, as revealed by Al Bano in a letter of protest to the then -2012- regional Councillor of Puglia Fabiano Amati, who had responded to an open letter
written by Romina Power because of fear about the possible and very likely pollution that the project of a discharge to the sea would bring in Specchiarica area (Ionian sea area belonging to the
village of San Pietro in Bevagna, which is part of the municipality of Manduria) saying "the history of treatment is not comparable to the Qua Qua Dance, it is a bit 'more complicated ", is dedicated
to the eighty years of political ideas they were asking themselves and not concluded anything (" this is the dance of quacks | and a duck who knows | only make qua qua qua | more qua qua qua ") [1]

Launched by Romina Power during the program Fantastico 2, the song remained by far the most known in the solo career of Power, outside of the duo with her husband Albano Carrisi. Among the singers there were Silvia Annichiarico, Paola Orlandi, Lalla and Heloise France, Mario Balducci, the same Albano, Ferrara Moreno and Silvio Pozzoli (singing the fourth verse with the Power).

The dance of quacks proved to be a great commercial success, managing to get the first position of the ranking of the 45 laps longer sold in Italy April 24, 1982 [3], and remaining firmly in the top
10 for six months, from January to June 1982. At the end of the single turned out to be the sixth best selling of the year. [4]
