Jovia Coach harnesses mobile technology alongside empathetic human coaching to effectively deliver preventive programs at scale for to populations at risk for type 2 diabetes. Our mobile app, web-based dashboard, and live coaches work in harmony to support at-risk populations as they adopt the dietary, lifestyle and physical activity habits to help prevent diabetes, enhance health, increase productivity and reduce the overall cost of care.
Program participants have the convenience of engaging with Philips’ behavior change programs wherever they go. Via the app, users learn foundational skills complete skill-reinforcing challenges, and log meals and physical activity. In addition, user interact with a lifestyle coach who provides motivation and a peer group which provide support.
Jovia Coach program is aimed at driving meaningful weight loss, improving diet and increasing physical activity (as outlined by the CDC) specifically 5% weight loss to prevent onset of diabetes
• Includes a 16-week core curriculum based on the CDC’s National Diabetes
• Prevention Program. During this program:
• Participants will receive articles and challenges daily
• Coaches will interact with participants daily - either through 1:1 messaging, group messaging, or both
• Coach calls with participants are typically 15-30 minutes in duration. Frequency of calls are determined by the coach and participant during the first call.
• Coach time spent per participant varies based on the preferences and needs of the individual throughout each week of the program
• 8-month post core program designed to maintain and sustain the behavior changes
