Kyai Marzuki lahir di kota Blitar, 43 tahun yang lalu (2014). Sungguh beruntung Kyai Marzuki karena dilahirkan dalam keluarga yang taat beribadah sekaligus mengerti agama. Ya, abahnya adalah seorang kyai. Alhasil, sejak kecil Kyai Marzuki dibesarkan dan dididik oleh kedua orang tua beliau dengan disiplin ilmu yang tinggi. Di bawah pengawasan orang tua beliau inilah putra dari Kyai Mustamar dan Nyai Siti Jainab ini mulai belajar Al-Qur’an dan dasar-dasar ilmu agama. Selain dididik disiplin ilmu yang tinggi, ternyata beliau waktu kecil sudah dididik tentang kemandirian agar memiliki etos kerja yang tinggi dengan cara memelihara kambing dan ayam petelur milik Bu Lik Umi Kultsum. Dengan memelihara kambing dan ayam petelur inilah, beliau mendapat pelajaran bagaimana membimbing umat islam, dan bagaimana menjadi pemimpin.
Pada tahun 2010 ada satu karya dari tulisan beliau yang monumental yang kini sudah puluhan kali cetak ulang dan disampaikan di hampir ke seluruh penjuru nusantara, yaitu Al-Muqtathafat li ahl al-Bidayat. Buku ini berisi sanggahan kepada beberapa kelompok terutama salafi wahabi yang suka membid’ahkan amaliah kaum Nahdliyyin, dikutip dari dalil-dalil Al-Quran, As-Sunnah dan kaidah Ushul Fiqh. Buku ini masih diperuntukkan untuk kalangan terbatas karena masih berbahasa Arab, yakni para pecinta ilmu, kalangan santri dan pengurus NU. Harapan beliau buku tersebut bisa disampaikan kepada orang lain, manakala sudah dibacakan dan diijazahkan oleh pengarangnya langsung.
