This application has only been tested on the Kindle Fire HD AND the Kindle Fire 2nd generation. Test at your own risk.
Your Kindle wants to be free!
Using this application you can disable the Amazon homescreen, install a different launcher of your choice, and install the Android market!
The Pro version will allow you to install commonly used Google applications and will allow you to disable those pesky lockscreen ads that Amazon pushes to your device without having to pay them $15 to do so.

How to install KindleFree (Free) APK for Android [menu]
Download KindleFree (Free) APK file (com.stericson.KindleFree_2_478785.apk) from SameAPK.com, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
