Walisongo sesungguhnya adalah para dai atau ulama yang diutus khalifah di masa Kekhilafahan Utsmani untuk menyebarkan Islam di Nusantara. Dan jumlahnya ternyata tidak hanya sembilan (Songo). Seangkatan dengannya, ada dua wali dari Palestina yang berdakwah di Banten. Yaitu Maulana Hasanudin, kakek Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, dan Sultan Aliudin.
