KEDUDUKAN AL-HADITS DALAM ISLAM
Seluruh umat islam, tanpa kecuali telah sepakat bahwa hadits merupakan salah satu sumber ajaran islam. Ia menempati kedudukannya yang sangat penting setelah Al Qur’an. Kewajiban mengikuti hadits bagi umat islam sama wajibnya dengan mengikuti Al Qur’an. Hal ini karena hadits mubayyin (Penjelasan) terhadap Al Qur’an. Tanpa memahami dan menguasai hadits siapa pun tidak bisa memahami Al Qur’an. Sebaliknya siapapun tidak akan bisa memahami hadits tanpa memahami Al Qur’an karena Al Qur’an merupakan dasar hukum pertama, yang didalamnya berisi garis besar syariat, dan hadits merupakan dasar hukum kedua yang didalamnya berisi penjabaran dan penjelasan Al Qur’an. Dengan demikian antara hadits dan Al Qur’an memiliki kaitan yang sangat erat, yang satu sama lain tidak bisa dipisah-pisahkan atau berjalan sendiri-sendiri.
Berdasarkan hal tersebut, kedudukan hadits dalam islam tidak dapat diragukan karena terdapat penegasan yang banyak, baik didalam Al Qur’an maupun dalam hadits nabi Muhammad SAW, Jumhur Ulama menyatakan bahwa Al-Hadits menempati urutan kedua dalam Islam setelah Al-Qur’an. Dalam Al-Quran banyak sekali ayat-ayat yang memerintahkan kita untuk taat kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Hal tersebut dapat kita lihat dari beberapa firman Allah

AL-Hadith POSITION IN ISLAM
