Gigi adalah nama sebuah grup musik yang berasal dari Bandung, Indonesia yang mengusung jenis musik pop dan rock. Grup musik ini dibentuk oleh Armand Maulana dan penulis lagu Dewa Budjana[1]. Kelompok ini berdiri pada tanggal 22 Maret 1994, dengan format awal Aria Baron, Thomas Ramdhan, Ronald Fristianto, Dewa Budjana dan Armand Maulana. GIGI tumbuh pertama kali atas prakarsa Aria Baron, Thomas Ramadhan, Ronald Fristianto, Dewa Budjana, dan Armand Maulana. Waktu itu 22 Maret 1994. Ada cerita bahwa dua tahun sebelumnya, Dewa Budjana sudah menyimpan keinginan untuk membentuk sebuah band dengan dua pemain gitar. Keinginan tersebut terwujud dengan terbentuknya GIGI. Sebelum bergabung dalam jajaran GIGI, Baron (gitar), Thomas (bass), Ronald (drum), Budjana (gitar), dan Armand (vokal) sudah terlebih dahulu malang-melintang di padang musik Indonesia. Kelimanya menceburkan diri ke kolam kreativitas yang sama, tempat mereka harus mengolah daya cipta dan menyelaraskan gaya bermusik. Saling-taut nalar dan rasa tidak tercipta dengan segera. Album pertama yang mereka lahirkan menjadi saksi betapa masing-masing personel masih bermain menuruti kata hatinya sendiri-sendiri. Warna musik yang mereka usung masih belum terang dan jernih betul.
