This app is a compilation of important Lord Siva Temples, it will serve as an offline ready reckoner. Temples have been categorized as follows
• Pancha Bootha - temples that represent manifestation of Lord Siva in five elements of nature namely land, water, sky, fire and air.
• Pancha Sabhai - temples where Lord Siva has performed cosmic dancing
• Ashta Veeratta - temples representing furious forms of Lord Siva. These are the places where the Lord has either killed the demons or conquered other Gods.
• Saptha Vidangam - temples that represent various types of dancing of Lord Siva.
• Aathara Sthalangal - temples representing the chakras of the body
• Paadal Petra Sthalangal - Among the 63 Nayanmars(great devotees) of Lord Shiva, Thirugnana Sambandar, Thirunavukkarasar and Sundaramoorthy have sung about the Lord in their magnificent work - Thevaram which is a collection of songs on Lord Siva. In total there are 275 temples that have been praised in Thevaram and summary details about these temples place wise is provided.
