Die mail.de Authenticator App kann als zusätzlicher Sicherheitsfaktor für Ihren mail.de Login genutzt werden und bietet Ihnen damit einen erweiterten Schutz Ihres E-Mail Postfaches.
Zunächst muss die Funktion im Einstellungsmodus Ihres E-Mail Postfaches eingerichtet werden. Nach erfolgreicher Einrichtung wird beim Webmailer Login künftig ein aktueller Authenticator Code abgefragt werden, den Sie mit Hilfe dieser App generieren können.

Diese App wurde mittels Phonegap erstellt und benötigt daher (durch Phonegap vorgegeben) nur das Recht für den Internetzugriff. Die App nutzt die Internetverbindung aber nicht da die Code-Berechnungen lokal erfolgen.
