Die mbits PIA App (Patient Information and Tracking) ermöglicht die elektronische Kommunikation von Nachrichten, Terminen und Informationen an Patienten während eines stationären Krankenhausaufenthalts. Die Patienten fühlen sich im Krankenhaus Alltag oft nicht genügend über anstehende Termine (z.B.: Visite, OP) und Terminverschiebungen (z.B.: Verschiebung eines CT Termins wegen Notfällen) informiert. Um Abläufe im Krankenhaus effizienter zu gestalten, Patienten besser zu informieren und so auch Zufriedenheit zu steigern und Kosten zu sparen, wurde die mbits PIA App entworfen, welche als Informationssystem für Patienten dient. Mit dieser App bekommen Patienten zeitgerechte Informationen zu aktuellen Geschehnissen und Terminen auf ihr Smartphone. Die Entwicklung dieser App wird von der mbits imaging GmbH in Zusammenarbeit mit der Urologischen Klinik des Universitätsklinikums Heidelberg vorgenommen.
