A simple news reader that displays your news articles. Load your favorite rss feed in the preferences and the articles along with a thumbnail will be shown in a easy to read list. Developed as a group project for Dr. Kim's MIS 6120 Business Information Systems Development class. Source code available at http://code.google.com/p/android-news-reader/
Permissions:
android.permission.INTERNET - Used to fetch the news articles from the RSS feed. There is a setting to only fetch articles when connected to WiFi
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Used to check if you are connected to WiFi or not
android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Used to cache thumbnails of the articles
How to install News Reader APK for Android [menu]
Download News Reader APK file (com.wildlionsoftwarellc.newsreader_2_191477.apk) from SameAPK.com, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
