De NierCheck is een thuistest voor het bepalen van de urine albumine-creatinine ratio in het kader van het NierCheck onderzoek. Samen met het NierCheck testpakketje verandert de NierCheck app uw smartphone in een urinestrip meter.
De app bepaalt de urine albumine-creatinine ratio en stuurt de resultaten veilig naar het NierCheck onderzoeksteam.
Eiwitverlies in de urine (uitgedrukt als de albumine-creatinine ratio) kan een vroeg teken zijn van een verminderde nierfunctie en wordt gebruikt voor het screenen en monitoren van verschillende medische aandoeningen.
De app werkt alleen in combinatie met het bijbehorende NierCheck testpakketje.
