Fundada em 10 de novembro de 1995, por iniciativa do Pároco Pe. Oswaldir da Silva, nasceu como Associação Católica de Quatá, com o objetivo principal de prestar serviços de Rádio Difusão, com programas de caráter: educativo, cultural, religioso, informativo, esportes, lazer, noticioso etc. Com a presença e participação ativa de trinta pessoas da comunidade, formou-se a primeira diretoria. A 27 de maio de 1998, sob votação foram admitidos novos sócios efetivos e mudança do nome de Associação Comunitária Rádio FM Comunicação Católica de Quatá para: Associação Santo Antônio de Quatá, com a finalidade de manter a Rádio Quatá FM 104,9 mhz, “ Amor e alegria todo dia”, e tem como objetivo prestar serviços comunitários, criando e executando projetos na área de radiodifusão. Em 16 de novembro de 2013 a então rádio Quatá FM, passa-se a se chamar “RÁDIO ÔNIX FM 104,9”,com uma nova roupagem, novo prédio, equipamentos modernos, nova grade de programação, novos locutores com o mesmo intuito de levar, musica, diversão, entretenimento, prêmios aos ouvintes e também agora estará no ar 24 horas por dia. Nos dias atuais a RÁDIO ÔNIX FM apresenta aos seus ouvintes uma variada programação, atendendo todos os segmentos da sociedade, com o principal objetivo de levar alegria aos lares quataenses.
